Y1 What are Things Made from?

Pupils look at the images of a range of objects and items. They have to cut them out and sort them into two groups, ‘natural materials’ and ‘not natural materials’.

Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - distinguish between an object and the material from which it is made; identify and name a variety of everyday materials, including wood, plastic, glass, metal, water, and rock.
  • WS - identifying and classifying.
