The Structure of a Tree (New)

Pupils identify and label the basic structure of a tree, including roots, trunk, leaves and branches.

Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - identify and describe the basic structure of a variety of common flowering plants, including roots, stem/trunk, leaves and flowers. NaG - where possible, pupils should observe the growth of flowers and vegetables that they have planted WS - pupils should observe closely, perhaps using magnifying glasses; draw diagrams showing the parts of different plants; compare and contrast how different plants change over time
