Y3 Pollination

Pupils investigate pollination and the type and amount of insects that are attracted to flowers to help with this process.


Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants: roots, stem, leaves and flowers; explore the part that flowers play in the life cycle of flowering plants, including pollination, seed formation and seed dispersal
  • NaG - pupils should be introduced to the relationship between structure and function: the idea that every part has a job to do
  • WS - pupils should gather, record, classify and present data in a variety of ways to help in answering questions
