Y1 Plants Have Roots

Children identify the roots on pictures of common plants; they then sort them into two groups based on their own sorting criteria

Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - identify and name a variety of common plants; identify and describe the basic structure of a variety of common flowering plants, including roots, stem/trunk, leaves and flowers
  • NaG - pupils should become familiar with common names of flowers
  • WS - identifying and classifying
