Y6 Medicines are Also Drugs

Pupils learn that not all drugs are bad for you and that some drugs can help us! They learn that medicines are also drugs and when used correctly can cure illnesses, relive pain and save lives. If however these drugs are used to excess or incorrectly then they can also cause us serious harm!

Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - recognise the impact of diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle on the way their bodies function
  • NaG - Pupils should learn how to keep their bodies healthy and how their bodies might be damaged – including how some drugs and other substances can be harmful to the human body
