Y5 Friction and Grip

Pupils learn about the importance of friction to grip. They learn that some things are designed to increase friction and therefore grip. They plan and carryout an investigation to see which shoes produce the most grip.


Learning Objectives:

  • PoS - identify the effects of air resistance, water resistance and friction, that act between moving surfaces
  • WS - pupils should take measurements, using a range of scientific equipment, with increasing accuracy and precision
