New resources have recently been added to Sigma Science. They include the following:
Year 1
Tree Study: children observe structure, bark, seeds or fruit, roots and insects of the chosen trees, then back in the classroom, they write up their observations;
Year 3:
Facts about Soils: children learn about the structure of soil and its layers, and its importance for plants and animals, including humans;
Fossil Game: children play a board game where they learn about the right conditions for the formation of fossils;
Fossil Formation: children learn how fossils are formed over thousands of years;
Year 4
Producer, Predator, Prey: children learn the definitions of producer, predator and prey and sort pictures to produce food chains.
