HATCHING CHICKS IN SCHOOL

February 23rd 2016

FREE RESOURCES AVAILABLE NOW!

Have you ever thought about hatching live chicks in school? Have you ever thought what a great experience it would be for your class to see chicks hatching and growing before their eyes? It is possible, as there are companies who will provide you with all the equipment you would need: incubators, brooders, feed and the eggs, which should hatch within three days. And Sigma Science has over twenty FREE resources to use while the eggs are hatching and the chicks are growing. They include daily observation charts, resources on animal reproduction and classification and a practical guide on husbandry and care. This is a fun and practical way to deliver the ‘Animals including Humans’ strand of the National Curriculum for science and a hands-on experience for your pupils. See resources here.
